What is FUSION Mineral Paint

Did you know, there is no such thing as latex paint because, there is no latex rubber in paint anymore. It has just become a generic label we use to describe most water based paint. Now we use acrylic resin. Higher quality paints have higher acrylic content in them . Paint from hardware stores (to paint walls for example) is a vinyl/acrylic blend and depending on the ratio of acrylic to vinyl depends on its performance. The more acrylic content makes for a higher quality of paint, Vinyl, usually toxic, is much cheaper than acrylic and is often used as a filler mixed with the acrylic to keep the cost of the paint lower. However once blended, the durability and adhesion of the finished product is, although great for walls, not ideal for furniture.

Fusion™ Mineral Paint is made up of 100% acrylic, water, and high quality mineral pigments.! All of these are locally sourced, eco friendly ingredients.. The acrylic results in a extremely durable, solid intact finish that is not porous..meaning, you do not have to apply a top coat (unless, of course, you want to) and your finish is a matte luster, washable, high humidity tolerant and perfect for use indoors and outside. The color is consistent throughout the entire pint and distresses beautifully. It makes big projects like kitchen and bathroom cabinets a much easier job to take on and live with. (uhhhh..hello washable after spaghetti dinner ) The creamy consistency is a very controlled, comfortable paint that is perfect for beginners, advanced painters, controllers or those of us that want to paint it after breakfast and be done by dinner. The prep, thanks to the 100% acrylic resin is minimal and the finish has a beautiful quality of durability.
